rathbone market is changing
Work is now almost complete on phase one of the redevelopment of Rathbone Market. We have now received consent for phase two and preparations for this next stage of Rathbone Market's regeneration will start before the end of 2012. When all phases are complete, the development will include a new market square; shops, offices and community facilities; and around 650 new homes.

Developer English Cities Fund (ECF), working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham, has appointed Sisk, one of the largest construction companies operating in the UK, as main contractor for the development and work on site began in December 2010.

Phase one will be complete by late summer 2012 and will deliver new shops and 271 new homes. Further phases will then follow and the redevelopment is expected to be complete by early 2016.

Throughout this redevelopment, the market will continue to trade for the benefit of shoppers and traders.

Please take a look around the website, where you can find more information about the plans, the development team, and all the latest news.
